Two promoted as NBR members

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has recently promoted Director General of the Central Intelligence Cell (CIC) Md Abdur Razzaque and appellate tribunal member Mir Mustaq Ali as Member.
Mr Razzak has been made chief of the Audit, Intelligence and Investigation wing of the income tax department.
He served CIC twice as DG and also commissioner of the large taxpayers' Unit (LTU) of the income tax wing.
He is an official of BCS (tax) cadre of 1984 batch.
Mir Mustaq Ali got responsibility of information management and services. He is also of the same batch.
The NBR also redistributed departments of income tax wing to the existing members. NBR member Parvez Iqbal got the responsibility of income tax policy wing while Chowdhury Amir Hossain for international taxes and Md Lokman Chowdhury for tax survey and inspection.
