Two siblings held for human trafficking in Teknaf

COX'S BAZAR, May 28 (UNB): Police arrested two siblings from Hariakhali village in Teknaf Upazila on charges of human trafficking early Thursday.
The arrestees were identified as Abdus Samad, 35, and his brother Abdul Hamid, 30, sons of Sultan Ahmad, a resident of the same village.
Officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station Ataur Rahman Khandaker said on information, a team of police led by sub-inspector Alamgir conducted a drive in the area and arrested the duo.
The law enforcers raided the house following information that the detained people have been sending Bangladeshis abroad illegally for a long time, the OC added.
