Two siblings killed as water tanker hits bike

SATKHIRA, Sept 28 (UNB): A schoolgirl and her elder brother were killed as a water tanker knocked down the motorcycle they were riding near the Upazila Parishad office on the Satkhira-Assasuni road in Sadar upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Tawfiqa Zaman Ruhina,11, daughter of Abdul Jalil of Puratan Satkhira area of the town, and her elder brother Mehedi Hasan Tamim. 19.
Golam Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said a speeding water tanker slammed into the motorcycle Tamim and Ruhina were riding in the area around 7:00am, leaving both of them dead on the spot.
