Two sisters jump under train in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, Dec 27 (UNB): Two sisters allegedly committed suicide under the wheels of a running train reportedly over frustration in Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning. The deceased were identified as Khuki Begam, 45, and Shilpi Begam, 20, both unmarried and daughters of late Abdus Sattar of Dakkhinpara of Baduar Char of the upazila. Witnesses said the two siblings apparently committed suicide by jumping under the Dhaka-bound Chittagong Mail train from the port city when the train was passing Rail Gate Bazar at Dakkhinpara at 6-50 am. Being informed Railway police from nearby GRP camp recovered the bodies and sent those to Narshingdi Sadar Hospital for autopsy. A case was filed in this connection. Villagers said Khuki and Shilpi were from a middle-income family and they were confirm bachelors. Among six brothers and sisters Khuki was the eldest while Shilpi was the youngest. Frustration had been brewing among the two sisters over life and that could be the cause of tragic end of their lives, they added.
