Two snatchers killed in Savar shootout

SAVAR, Nov 12: Two alleged snatchers were killed in a gunfight with RAB on Jirabo Dewan Idris road near Morning Glory School under Ashulia thana early Friday. Identity of the deceased could not be known. Sources said while on patrol duty a team of RAB-4 challenged a gang of muggers in the area at about 3am. At one stage, the two muggers, aged about 30-32, were caught in the line of fire and died on the spot while others managed to flee the scene. Two foreign made revolvers, 10 rounds of bullet and six shells of bullet were recovered from the spot. — UNB
