Two wives murdered by their husbands

GAIBANDHA, Nov 9 (UNB): A housewife was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband over a family feud at Kamarpara village in Saghata upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Riju Begum, 25, wife of Mintu Mia of the village.
Quoting local people police said Mintu picked up a quarrel with his wife over eating meal at night and at one stage he stabbed Riju indiscriminately leaving her dead on the spot
On information, police recovered the body this (Wednesday) morning and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.
Mintu fled the scene soon after the incident. A case was filed in this connection.
BSS reports from Chittagong: A brutal husband allegedly hit his wife to death over family dispute at Panwalla Para area under Doublemooring thana last night, police said.
The deceased was identified as Nasima Begum, 30, a mother of two.
Assistant Commissioner of Doublemooring zone police Tanvir Newaz told BSS that the rickshaw puller husband Mohammad Nurul Amin, 35, hit on the head of his wife Nasima by iron stick at about 2.35 am last night.
Locals rushed Nasima to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where on-duty doctors declared her dead.
Police arrested Amin with the help of locals. A case was filed with Doublemooring thana in this connection.
