Two women commit suicide

Our Correspondent KHULNA, Nov 27: A female college student committed suicide by taking poison at village Karlia under Paickgacha Upazila of the district Saturday. The deceased was identified as Joyosri Sana (17), daughter of Swapon Sana. She was a 2nd year student of Fasiar Rahman Girls College of Paikgacha. Police and local said that Joysri took poison on early Saturday over a family feud. Our correspondent in Rangpur reports: A housewife committed suicide by taking poison at Purbo Shalbon area in Rangpur town Saturday. The victim was identified as Sondhya Begum (25), wife of Saju Miah of the area. Police quoting family sources said Sondhya got locked in an altercation with her husband in the morning over a trifling matter and took poison in a bid to end her life. She was rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in a critical condition where she died at about 2 pm.
