Two workshops on sanitation held in S-dists

Two workshops on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) project have been held recently in the southern districts of Satkhira and Bagerhat, according to a press release.
HP (ASA), Practical Action Bangladesh (PAB) and BASA jointly organised the workshops.
The project will provide safe water, sanitation and hygienic facilities to about 10 thousands household of the two municipalities in the next five years.
Nearly 50,000 distressed people mainly live in the slum areas under Satkhira and Bagerhat municipalities and will be benefited from the programme funded by the Dutch.
The mayors of Satkhira and Bagerhat municipalities, councillors, senior officials of the district administration, people's representatives, entrepreneurs, local elite, journalists and cleaners were present in the events.
