"One needs to be close to his customer whether a buyer or a manufacturer, to deliver the best; that's why, we started our operations in Bangladesh six years back. Now, we look forward to adding value through new services and sector portfolio," Mr Nadkarni said.
He also shared their business 'Vision and Strategy 2020' in Bangladesh; it includes plan to expand to new sectors and services like power and related infrastructure, training portfolio and testing services for food like sea food and environment.
Headquartered in Munich of Germany, the company has presence in 800 locations globally covering Europe, America, Middle East, Asia and Africa. "We entered Bangladesh in 2008 and later set-up a state-of-the-art laboratory catering to the textile and leather industry and extending other related services."
Last year, its global revenue was Euro 1.94 billion, he said.
He expressed the company's policy to work in a partnership approach by amalgamating the local expertise, opportunities and challenges with global experience and insights with a key focus on knowledge sharing and employee training on a global platform.
