UAE to resume hiring BD manpower

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is likely to resume manpower import from Bangladesh, Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain said on Monday. The minister said the UAE will sign an agreement with Bangladesh by end of this month to reopen its labour market for Bangladeshi workers. Talking to UNB, Khandaker Mosharraf said a high-level delegation of the UAE government will arrive in Dhaka this month to discuss hiring of female workers. The issue of reopening UAE labour market for Bangladeshi male workers will also be raised by Bangladesh.
