UAP holds seminar

A seminar of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) with the financial support by the Structural Engineers Limited (SEL) was held at IEB auditorium in the city Sunday, said a press release.
UAP Vice-Chancellor Dr Abdul Matin Patwari was present as the chief guest at the seminar while BUET Professor Dr M Shamim Z Bosunia and Kyushu University, Japan Associate Prof Dr Hidenori Hamada were present as special guests.
Head of the Department of Civil Engineering of UAP Prof Dr MR Kabir delivered a speech on the importance of recycling of demolished concrete from the environmental viewpoints.
Some 130 delegates from different government and private organisations were present in the seminar.
