UCB gets new DMDs

Sohrab Mustafa and Golam Awlia have been promoted to the post of deputy managing director (DMD) of United Commercial Bank (UCB), said a press release.
Prior to his promotion, Mr Mustafa was the senior executive vice president and head of financial institution and off-shore banking unit.
Mr Mustafa started his banking career by joining the City Bank as a probationary officer in 1983.
He joined the UCB in June, 2010. Before joining the UCB, he served The City Bank, Premier Bank and Prime Bank.
Prior to his promotion, Mr Awlia was the senior executive vice president and head of corporate branch of the UCB.
Mr Awlia started his banking career by joining the UCB as a probationary officer in 1983.
In his long career in the UCB, he served the bank in various capacities.
