UCB signs deal with Sandhani on BEFTN

FE Report UCB, a leading private commercial bank has recently signed a contract with Sandhani Life Insurance Company Ltd to provide services under the Bangladesh Electronic Fund Transfer Network (BEFTN). Under the agreement, UCB will work as the Originating Bank for Sandhani in the collection and distribution of funds under the Bangladesh Electronic Fund Transfer Network. UCB is the first bank authorized by Bangladesh Bank to carry out debit transactions under BEFTN. Held at UCB Corporate Head Offices at Gulshan in the city, Managing Director of UCB Mr. M. Shahjahan Bhuiyan and Managing Director of Sandhani Mr. Ahasanul Islam signed the agreement on behalf of the respective organizations. The ceremony was also attended by Additional Managing Director (Operation) of UCB Mr. Shafiqul Alam, Deputy Managing Director of UCB Mr. Shahed Jalal Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director & Company Secretary of Sandhani Dr. Mazharul Hosain, Deputy Managing Director & CFO of Sandhani Mr. Nemai Kumar Saha, GM Accounts of Sandhani Mr. Shadhan Chandra Das and SEVP & Head of IT of UCB Mr. Muhammad H. Kafi and other officials.
