UCEP tech school opens at Gazipur

GAZIPUR, Sept 30: Inauguration of Underprivileged Children's Educational Programs UCEP technical school was held at Gazipur today at 10am. Chris Austin, Country Representative of Department of International Development (DFID) Bangladesh praised the role of UCEP in developing the underprivileged children into productive human resources for Bangladesh. He was addressing as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of UCEP Gazipur Technical School Thursday at North Shalna, Gazipur.
UCEP-Bangladesh a leading national NGO of the country working for the uplift of the distressed and poor urban working children organized the inaugural ceremony of their new constructed technical school building at north Shalna, Gazipur, the DFID Country Chief unveiled the inaugural plaque of the building. He also visited different trades of the technical school and talked to the students and teachers.
The chairperson, UCEP Board of Governors Dr. Ubaidur Rob and Vice Chairperson Ms. Parveen Mahmud FCA also spoke on the occasion. Among others association Members of the organisation, foreign diplomats, donor representatives, government officials, journalists and local elites were present. UCEP Executive Director Brig. Gen. Aftab Uddin Ahmad (Retd.) apprised the gathering about the countrywide educational skill developments programme of UCEP.
