VIENNA, June 20 (AFP): European football's governing body UEFA will make a decision on whether to enlarge their flagship tournament the European championships by the end of the year announced their general secretary David Taylor Thursday.
"We're going to consult our 53 associations in the next couple of months," said Taylor.
"We're going to take a decision for the 2016 tournament in the second half of this year."
France - who hosted the Euro in 1984 and the World Cup in 1998 - has already said it intends to bid for the 2016 edition.
