Uflex eyes 25pc market share by FY 2011

NEW DELHI, Nov 21 (PTI): Flexible packaging major Uflex is targetting Rs 35.0 billion revenue and 25 per cent market share by this fiscal-end, said a senior company official.
"We are targeting Rs 35.0 billion revenue by FY 2011 as against Rs 23.0 billion in the year-ago period. We also expect to up our market share to 25 per cent from the present 21 per cent by end-this fiscal," Uflex's Group President (Finance and Accounts), RK Jain, said.
The company hopes to increase its market share to a substantial 40 per cent by FY 2012.
It has lined-up a capex of Rs 9.0 billion over the next two years to beef up its capacity in both the domestic and overseas markets.
"We plan to invest around Rs 9.0 billion over the next two years to enhance the capacity of our existing facilities in domestic as well as overseas markets," Jain said.
At present, Uflex has three manufacturing units in Jammu, Noida and Gwalior. Its overseas facilities are in Mexico, Egypt and Dubai.
The company plans to enhance its packaging capacity, both domestic and overseas, to 0.35 million tonnes per annum from the present 0.23 million by FY 12, Jain said.
The company's order-book stands at around Rs 5.0-billion now, he said.
