UFP Day observed in Tangail

TANGAIL, Mar 12: Urban food production day observed in Tangail today (Wednesday) and elsewhere in the country.
In observance of the day Tangail pouroshava arranged a number of programmes with the help of Urban Partnerships for Poverty Reduction (UPPR) project, which included a day-long Mela, rally and discussion meeting. A colourful rally was brought out from Shaheed Smrity Pouro Uddyan, which paraded through the main streets of the town. After the rally a discussion meeting was held at Mela compound at Shaheed Smrity Pouro Uddyan.
Shoyeb Ahmed Khan, ADC general Tangail, was present at the discussion meeting as chief guest.
