UGC approves Tk 20.16 billion for public universities

The University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) has approved the original budget of over Tk 20.15 billion for the country’s public universities for fiscal 2014-2015 and the revised budget of Tk 18.25 billion for fiscal 2013-2014, according to a news agency.
The UGC approved the budget in its 137th Full Commission meeting held Monday with UGC Chairman Prof Dr AK Azad Chowdhury in the chair.
The meeting also okayed the original budget of Tk 216 million for fiscal 2014-2015 and revised budget of Tk 196.6 million for 2013-2014 fiscal for the UGC.
