UGC forms panel to probe TIB allegation

The University Grants Commission (UGC) on Monday formed a three-member probe committee to investigate the allegation brought in a research report of the Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB). Vice Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University Dr AKM Nurun Nabi was made convener of the committee. The other members are Sylhet Agricultural University VC Dr Md Shahid Ullah Talukder and Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) VC Dr Muhammed Alamgir. The committee was formed in the 137th full commission meeting. The committee will submit its report to the UGC chairman very soon, according to a news agency.
