UK climate change envoy due tomorrow

Special Representative for Climate Change, UK, Sir David King arrives in Dhaka tomorrow (Monday) to discuss climate change issues, said an official on Saturday, reports UNB.
He will present keynote speech at a public lecture on 'Contemporary Global Climate Change Debate: Challenges and Prospects' in the city on Monday, the official said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), will jointly arrange the public lecture at the multipurpose hall of the IUB.
Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque, Director, ICCCAD, IUB Dr Saleemul Huq, Vice Chancellor, IUB Prof M Omar Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forests Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Executive Director, Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS) Dr Atiq Rahman and Country Director, Action Aid Bangladesh Farah Kabir will also speak at the event.
