UK envoy calls for dialogue

British High Commissioner in Dhaka Robert Gibson on Thursday called for dialogue among all stakeholders to break the five-year cycle of electoral violence. Gibson said he is not talking about dialogue only between two major political camps-BNP and Awami League-but among all stakeholders, including civil society representatives. The British envoy made the remarks when his attention was drawn at a function in the city to the political violence that claimed the lives of seven people over the last few days. —UNB
