UK envoy meets Khaleda

British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Robert Gibson met BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia on Sunday night. The hour-long meeting that began around 8:15pm was held at the BNP chief’s political office at Gulshan in the city. BNP Vice Chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, Chairperson’s Advisers Reaz Rahman and Sabihuddin Ahmed were present. However, neither the British envoy nor the BNP leaders briefed the media about the meeting. Party high-ups close to the Chairperson’s office said latest political situation in Bangladesh was discussed in the meeting, according to a news agency.
