UK provides relief for flood affected people through UNDP

The United Kingdom (UK) government has provided financial assistance through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to provide urgent medical support among the flood affected patients for their early recovery, reports BSS.
According to the government around 50,000 people is suffering from diarrhoea as a result of the recent flood.
"As part of the UN's global development network UNDP stands firm beside the flood affected people of Bangladesh, with the support of our development partners like the UK government", said UNDP Country Director Manoj Basnyat.
