Ulema League leader killed in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Dec 3 (BSS): Police recovered the body of an Ulema League leader, a front organization of Awami League, from Hironkhali village in Gouripur upazila here this morning. The victim was identified as Jane Alam, 45, son of Ekram Hossain of village Kaladia in Gouripur.
Jane Alam was the president of Gouripur upazila unit of Ulema League and a marriage register of Douhakhola union, said Depak Majumder, officer-in- charge (OC) of Gouripur Police Station.
Quoting family members, police said, Jane Alam went out of his house at around 10 pm last night and since then he has been missing. His body was found at neighboring Hironkhali village this morning.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) morgue for autopsy. A case was lodged.
