UN seeks more helicopters from Bangladesh

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has urged Bangladesh to send more helicopters for UN peacekeeping missions. Ban came up with the request in a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at his suite at the UN Headquarters in New York on Saturday evening (US eastern standard time). In reply, Hasina told the UN Secretary General: ‘We’ll try to send more helicopters.’ During the meeting, the UN Secretary General appreciated the lively participation of the Bangladesh delegation, including the Prime Minister, ministers and other members, in different sessions of the UN General Assembly, according to a news agency.
