Unauthorised car parking drive starts in city Sunday

Traffic police are going to launch a drive against unauthorised car parking from Sunday to ease traffic congestions in the city. The operation would continue until November 14, as unauthorised car parking is one of the main reasons for traffic jams, joint commissioner of DMP (traffic) Jashimuddin said Friday. "Everyday, we file at least 700-800 cases under the Motor Vehicles Act against the vehicles which violate the traffic rules," he added.
