Unauthorised vehicles can not ply highways: Quader

Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Friday reiterated that unauthorised vehicles like ‘Easybike’, ‘Nosimon’ and ‘Korimon’ will not be allowed to ply highways because of public life security concern. Talking to reporters while inspecting works on Dhaka-Chittagong four-lane highway project at Paduar Bazar in Comilla, the minister also said, “The Commerce Ministry has been asked to stop machinery import of Easybike, Nosimon and Korimon. Directives have also been issued to stop the operation of transport vehicle-manufacturing factories in the country.” Quader, also a presidium member of ruling Awami League, said construction of Dhaka-Chittagong four-lane highway will be completed by December next as 95 percent earth filing works has already been completed, according to UNB.
