UNB chairman leaves for Manila to attend 17th AMIC confce

Amanullah Khan, Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC) Representative in Bangladesh and Chairman, UNB leaves Dhaka Saturday night for Manila to attend a four-day 17th AMIC conference beginning on 14 July, reports UNB.
The conference being organised by AMIC in partnership with the Philippine Association of Communication Educators Foundation (PACE) will be inaugurated by the Vice- president of the Republic of the Philippines, the Honourable Noli Kabayan De Castro. H.E Fidel V. Ramos, former President of the Philippines, will deliver a keynote address.
The conference is being participated by over 600 delegates from Asia and other continents representing media practitioners, academics, government and non-government organisations etc who will deliberate on the theme "Changing Media, Changing Societies: Media and the Millennium Development Goals".
The key focus of this conference will be to see how an active and vibrant media can help achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) endorsed by the UNO.
