UNESCO announces International Art Competition-2009

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) has announced the International Art Competition-2009, reports UNB.
The competition is open for the people, aged between 3 and 25 years, in five age groups.
First, second and third prizes in each category will receive an art box of 100 euros, 85 euros and 70 euros respectively.
The other winners will share a global endowment of 5000 euros of professional art materials and will receive an Honorary Diploma.
The prize-giving ceremony will be held on May 16, 2009 during the International Art Convention 'LE GESTE EN LIBERTE'.
Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO (BNCU) has requested interested people to send their creations on the theme of "Shadow, Shade and Light" to UNESCO Centre Louis Francois, Troyes, France by February 21, 2009.
The identification label that will be necessary to stick to the back of the works may be collected from BNCU, BANBEIS Bhaban, Palassy-Nilkhet Road, Dhaka.
