UNFPA willing to increase medical support for flood hit affected expectant mothers

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is interested in increasing its cooperation for the healthcare of expectant mothers in the country's flood-affected areas, reports UNB.
UNFPA representative Aurther Erken told this to the Health Adviser ASM Matiur Rahman when he met him at his office Tuesday.
The Health Adviser thanked Erken for showing interest in this regard and appreciated UNFPA's continued support for Bangladesh's population control and development of healthcare services, particularly for mothers.
Health Secretary AKM Zafarullah Khan, Additional Secretary Jamil Osman, Director General of Health Department M Shahjahan Biswas and Director General of Family Welfare Depart-ment M Abdul Mannan were present.
