Unicef Executive Director in city

Unicef Executive Director (ED) Anthony Lake arrived in the city Saturday on a three-day mission to Bangladesh to highlight the challenges faced by children and women in Bangladesh, said a press release.
During his stay in Bangladesh, Anthony will visit UNICEF supported programmes to see the difficulties faced by marginalized and working children.
He is scheduled to meet Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Finance Minister AMA Muhith and Health Minister Dr AFM Ruhal Haque to discuss opportunities offered by Unicef's new country programme (2012-'16).
