Unidentified man shot dead in city's New Market area

An unidentified man has been shot dead in Dhaka's New Market area, reports bdnews24.com.
The shooting occurred at around 08:00 pm on Tuesday in the Bottola area adjacent to the market, said New Market Police chief Md Ayub.
"We found a lot of blood at the scene. We do not yet know who the victim is. The injured person was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, and one of our teams has gone there," he said.
Hospital authorities confirmed that the man was brought to the emergency department by police at around 08:30 pm, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
