UNIDO DG arrives tomorrow

Director General (DG) of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) Kandeh K Yumkella arrives in the city tomorrow (Sunday) on a three-day state visit, officials said.
This is the first visit by a DG of the UNIDO to Bangladesh.
The UNIDO official will hold meetings with Industries Minister Dilip Barua and Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque on the day he arrives.
Later he will formally inaugurate the National Meteoro-logy Laboratory of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) in the city.
He will inaugurate a seminar on "Application of Green Technology in SME Sector for Sustainable Development in Bangladesh" on June 7.
