Unilever arranges two-day health care programme

CHITTAGONG, Mar 11: A two-day health care programme, arranged under the auspices of Unilever Bangladesh Ltd, concluded on Hamidchar Government Primary School premises at Kalurghat area in the city recently. Industry minister Dilip Barua had inaugurated the health care programme.
Unilever chalked out the programme in collaboration with Chittagong Diabetic Hospital and Lions Eye Hospital. Speakers at the programme said the whole-hearted presence of the general people in this service oriented-programme was really remarkable.
A total 2800 distressed patients were provided free medicare services where a good number of patients suspected to have developed cataract or have complicated diabetic problems, were earmarked in the programme.
The concluding function was presided over by Shekandar Meah while Unilever Manager Shahabuddin and Dr. Imam Hossain spoke on the occasion among others.
