Unilever Bangladesh Ltd (UBL), a leading Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company of Bangladesh, has recently brought down prices of some of its products used by families everyday.
The products include soaps, shampoos and handwash.
The UBL has cut the prices of its products following a decline in the prices of raw materials in the global market.
The company raised the prices of its products when the cost of production had gone up notably following increase in prices of raw materials in the international market.
UBL sources said the company has now decided to pass on the benefit of the decline in the cost of production to the consumers.
UBL, a listed company, has been in operation in Bangladesh for the last six decades. More than 39 per cent shares of the company is held by the government.
