Union Capital gets new chairman

Dr GM Khurshid Alam has been elected the new chairman of Union Capital Limited at the 291st meeting of the Board of Directors of the company recently. He is representing the EC Securities Limited in the Board of Union Capital. Dr Alam has been serving as Operations Director of the Policy Research Institutions of Bangladesh (PRI) since January 01, 2014. He is also serving as Chairman of Prime Bank Securities Limited, Independent Director of Mobil-Jamuna Limited and Director of Prime Bank Investment Limited. Dr Alam started off his career with Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre in 1981. In 1995, he initially joined on lien the World Bank, and subsequently, after resignation from government service, continued in that organisation, where he served as Senior Private Sector Development Specialist in the South Asia Private Sector and Finance (SASFP) Department, until retirement in August 2012. — Statement
