Thursday, 23 October 2014

Awami League (AL) Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud urged all pro-liberation forces Wednesday to be united to face the anti-state plotters, reports BSS.
"Khaleda Zia is the leader of those who had taken stand against the country's liberation war. Thus it is obvious that they don't want to see development of the county. So, we have to build united resistance against conspiracy of the anti-liberation force," he said.
Mr Mahmud was addressing a rally and human chain organised by Awami Muktijuddha Prajanma League in front of the Jatiya Press Club to protest against various 'anti-government conspiracy' of BNP-Jamaat alliance. Awami Muktijuddha Prajanma League president Asaduzzaman Durjoy preided over the rally.
Mr Mahmud said BNP-Jamaat alliance has started various conspiracies when the country is advancing on the path of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. "They are not feeling comfort while peace exists in the country, they want to make the country instable at any cost," he said.
He said the leaders of BNP, those were locked up by workers of their own student wing, should resign from their respective party posts as they haven't got any quality of leadership.
Meanwhile, Relief and Disaster Management Minister and general secretary of Dhaka City Awami League (AL) Mofazzel Hossain Chowdhury Maya said Wednesday that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia would not be exempted from graft cases by calling anti-people hartal.
