United movement a must to oust govt: BNP
Saturday, 20 September 2014
The BNP has claimed democracy in Bangladesh is in danger and that there is no alternative to a ‘unified anti-government agitation’ to restore it. Party’s acting Secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Saturday accused the government of ‘torturing the opposition’. He alleged the ‘timid’ government had distanced itself from the people and was enacting laws one after the other to stay in power forever. ‘We must forge a national unity to oust the government through a popular movement,’ the BNP spokesperson told a discussion in Dhaka city, according to bdnews24.com.
