United resistance for elimination of militants urged

Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu called upon people from all shades of opinion and religious belief to build a united resistance for elimination of militants and terrorists from the country, according to a news agency.
"Islam says religion is for each of individuals but the state is for all. In a state of Muslim majority, it's the responsibility of every Muslim to ensure practice of other religions. So, those who loot properties and wealth of believers of other faith including Hindus in the guise of Islam are the enemies of Islam," he said adding they should be evicted from the country to build a secular Bangladesh earned through the war of liberation.
The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion in the city.
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) organised the discussion at its Swamibag Ashram (temple) in the capital on the sixth day of the nine-day Rathajatra festival celebration Friday.
