Unity needed to implement Bali package: Tofail

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Thursday called upon the developing countries to get united to realise the duty-free-quota-free (DFQF) market access to the developed nations as committed at the Bali ministerial meeting. “The developing countries will have to be united to ensure the implementation of the Bali package. If it’s implemented, developing countries will be benefited,” he said. The Commerce Minister made the call at a luncheon meeting with his counterparts from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar on the sidelines of the 23rd World Economic Forum on East Asia’ in Manila, according to a news agency.
