FE Report | Monday, 1 April 2019
Students of private Primeasia University formed on Sunday a human chain in front of its Banani campus in the city demanding resolution of their various demands including fire safety and raising the number of buses for students.
The students said the three buildings on the university's Banani campus also adjacent to FR Tower are extremely vulnerable to fire risks.
They formed the human-chain at around 1:00 pm and chanted slogans demanding high-tech fire-safety equipment including a fire alarm system, emergency exits and proper training to the security officials of the university on fire fighting.
They also called upon the university authority to set a permanent campus.
Later Proctor of the university Anwarul Islam assured the students of considering their demands that led them to end their programme.
