Unregistered motorcycles

We often see on the roads of our capital motorbikes without registration number plates. Apparently, these motorcycles are moving around without any problem. Day by day, the number of such motorcycles is increasing. It is surprising that those motorbikes are violating the law with impunity. The government is losing a lot of revenue as many people do not bother to pay registration fees which is encouraging others to follow suit.
The law is not meant for ordinary people only and is supposed to be applicable for everyone irrespective of their power, wealth or position. If unregistered motorcycles can move freely in our capital we can easily understand what is happening elsewhere in our country.  I hope, the Dhaka metropolitan police will take stern action against those people who are driving vehicles without registration and breaking the law of the land. Special action should be taken against the members of law enforcing agencies who are using their force's name on their vehicles' number plate so that such practice ceases to exist.
