UP member held with 27 kg silver in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, Oct 07 (UNB): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Sunday arrested a Union Parishad (UP) member from Parkrishnapur village in Damurhuda upazila.
The arrestee was identified a Khairul Islam, 38, member of ward no. 8 of Parkrishnapur Union Parishad.
Tipped off, a team of BGB conducted a drive in the area and arrested Khairul Islam and recovered around 28 kilograms of silver from his possession, said Lieutenant Colonel Imam Hasan of Chuadanga-6 BGB.
