UP member kills self in Magura

A union parishad member allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at Uzgram village in Mohammadpur upazila in Magura district on Saturday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Ekramul Haque Tokan, 50, a UP member of Mohammadpur Sadar Union. Family sources said Tokan took his life by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room around 5pm following a family feud. Family members rescued Tokan breaking open the door and whisked him off to hospital where doctors declared him dead. The body was sent to a hospital for autopsy, according to UNB.
