Upazila polls to be completed by May

Elections to all upazila parishads would be completed by May this year, said Election Commissioner M Shahnewaz while talking to reporters at the Election Commission (EC) Secretariat Monday. "Upazila polls will be held in phases on the basis of completion of the tenure of the respective upazila parishads. The commission will go for elections at the end of February or the first week of March due to legal bindings," he categorically said. — BSS
