Upgrading RMC to university soon

Health Minister Mohammad Nasim on Saturday said the draft law for upgrading Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) to a university is almost complete. Addressing a views-exchange meeting at the RMC auditorium, the minister said an inter-ministerial committee has been formed to frame draft laws for upgrading Rajshahi and Chittagong Medical Colleges to universities, and hopefully those will be passed by parliament very soon. Rajshahi Medical University Implementation Council organised the meeting. He hoped that the RMC will be able to hold its classes as a university from the next fiscal, said a handout, according to a news agency.
