UPPR organises workshop in Gopalgonj

GOPALGONJ, Jan 23: A workshop and discussion of learning sharing on "Land Tenure and Municipal Governance" was held in Gopalgonj Municipality auditorium recently.
The workshop was organised by Urban Partnerships for Poverty Reduction (UPPR) Project, Gopalgonj.
AKM Mozammel Haq, MP, chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Ministry of Land, was present as the chief gust at the workshop.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Gopalgonj district Sheik Yusuf Harun, District Awami League President Mohammad Ali Khan Abu Mia, Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Abdul Quddus Amin, National Project Director UPPR project LGED, Dhaka Ali Ahmed and UPPR Project Manager Richard Alan Geier also spoke as special guests at the workshop.
Community Development Committee president Sheauly Khanam, Gopalgonj Press Club Secretary Syed Muradul Islam, Advocate Ahmed Nawashair Ali, Gopalgonj Municipality councilor Shaubuddin Azam and Executive Engineer of LGED, Gopalgonj Gopal Kriashana Debnath were present on the occasion.
Later they inaugurated a child school, one stop service and library at the Municipality.
