Urea production resumes at Ashuganj

Wednesday, 22 September 2010

Production at the Ashuganj Fertiliser Factory in Brahmanbaria has resumed after a three-day shutdown due to a technical fault. Osman Gani, the factory's managing director, said Tuesday: "Production at the factory started at around 10am. The factory's engineers tried to make necessary repairs, and it took three days to resume production." Earlier, a leakage in the plant's high-pressure carbonate condenser paralysed the factory at around 7am Saturday. The unit is capable of manufacturing up to 1,600 tonnes of urea per day. — bdnews24.com
