In a bid to nurture students and address the growing demand for aircraft maintenance engineers, US-Bangla Airlines has announced a two-year training programme, reports UNB.

To be eligible for the programme, candidates must have achieved a minimum GPA of 4.5 in mathematics, physics, and chemistry in the Science department during their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations.
Alternatively, applicants who have attained a grade-A in at least five subjects, including mathematics, physics, and chemistry, in the 'O' level exams, and a grade-B in at least two subjects, including mathematics, physics, and chemistry, in the 'A' level exams, will also be considered. Additionally, proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
The maximum age limit for applicants is 22 years.
The selection process for aircraft maintenance engineers involves multiple stages, including an IQ test, a written examination covering subjects such as English, mathematics, material science, and chemistry, qualification tests, psychometric evaluations, medical examinations, and oral interviews.
Successful candidates will be provided with scheduled aircraft maintenance engineering training abroad, with US-Bangla Airlines overseeing the overall management and financial support.
After completing the two-year training, qualified engineers will have the opportunity to join US-Bangla Airlines as type-rated engineers.
Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the official website -- tame.usbair.com. The deadline for applications is June 24.
