US-Bangla Airlines takes wing to fly in domestic skies

US-Bangla Airlines came as a new addition to Bangladesh's growing airlines in the private sector with its journey into the country's skies Wednesday, targeting domestic destinations.
With the slogan 'Fly First, Fly Safe', two flights took off on Dhaka-Chittagong and Dhaka-Jessore routes to make the debut.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon formally inaugurated the service of the new airlines at the VVIP terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
"The airlines should be punctual and have to maintain discipline" was the message from the minister, also president of the leftwing Workers Party in the Awami League-led coalition.
He said, "The young-generation persons who take up aviation job as a profession with passion don't get disheartened."  
Mohammed Abdullah Al Mamun, Managing Director of the airlines, said: "We are new player but have very confidence about that the airlines to be successful."
He said they were creating a new strategy on their business as result of which their company will last long.
Their airlines started the journey with promise that they would provide luxury services with modern aircraft, he told the function.
Civil Aviation and Tourism secretary Khurshid Alam Chowdhury and chairman of Civil Aviation Authority Mahmud Hossain were present on the occasion.
